Perast lies beneath the hill of St. Elijah, on cape that separates the bay of Risan from the bay of Kotor (two smaller bays within the Boka Kotorska) and overlooks the Verige strait, the narrowest part of Boka.

A visit to the legendary island Our Lady of the Rocks. This is a man-made islet, built upon a crag that bore the icon of the Holy Mother Mary, and it houses a church that's been built by seafarers and other locals to honor the graceful Mother Mary. It is a place where visitors can listen to the mystical story about the island's genesis, as well as examine the many paintings, votives, and other art pieces inside the museum, attached to the church. For entering the church you need to pay a small fee.
